HighRes designs advanced lab automation systems that help life science companies move faster, reduce friction in research, and bring discoveries to market sooner. By connecting instruments, software, and workflows into seamless automated environments, they accelerate experimentation and free scientists to focus on insight rather than process. Our collaboration went far beyond visual identity. We partnered with HighRes across brand strategy, positioning, messaging, tagline development, and writing, building a system that could support both their technology and their ambition. The identity extends into a broader vision of the “lab of the future,” where their products are presented as part of a connected scientific environment rather than standalone machines. The wordmark was designed to feel engineered by machines, yet refined by humans. Its letterforms draw from the motion of HighRes hardware, always in movement, slow, steady, and precise. Exact geometry reflects the precision of automation, while subtle stroke contrast and softened details introduce warmth and human character. The HighRes rebrand was unveiled at SLAS2026 and will continue to roll out across 2026, marking the beginning of a longer evolution with more to come.
