Tomorrow was asked to create a piece of art that could be gifted to leaders at the Canada–EU Summit in Montréal. We positioned the maple leaf as a mathematical multiplier alongside the EU symbol, representing Canada’s ability to strengthen global partnerships, amplify ideas and contribute to a greater whole. The hyphen bridges Canada and Europe, while Neue Montréal gives the typography a local voice, echoing the Helvetica of Canada’s Federal Identity Program. The lockup unites the emblems of Canada, Québec and Montréal: the maple leaf, fleur-de-lys and city logo.
